Class and Playground Behaviour Award

This is an incentive scheme designed to encourage children to behave and perform to the very best of their abilities. It consists of a heart placed in the centre of seven different coloured hearts (includes outside of heart shape). The goal is for the children to move from the outside of the board into the heart of achievement. At the end of each term the names of those reaching the red heart will be put in a draw. The winner/s will receive a significant prize.

Criteria for heart jumps:

1. Children producing work of exceptional quality (for them).

2. Children working consistently hard.

3. Children making sustained improvements in their work or behaviour.

4. Children showing, in practice, that they can use the skills learned as part of

the values programme (based on the Six Pillars of Character/Character Counts).

5. A child demonstrating an outstanding sense of responsibility. or an

exceptional act of good citizenship.

6. Four blue cards, or multiples of five, received in any one term.

Exceptional acts of caring or citizenship in the Playground will be rewarded by

BLUE hearts which will go towards the Heart of Achievement
